Manufacturing Readiness Program

This is your pathway to a great career in manufacturing.

There are more great careers in manufacturing than there are trained people to fill them. In response to this demand, we have created the Manufacturing Readiness Program to prepare students like you for these great careers. Students will participate in a 6-week academic boot camp, followed by enrollment in our Quality and Manufacturing Inspections program in the fall. The boot camp portion includes an introduction to the manufacturing industry and tutoring in basic math and English in a friendly and supportive environment.

This program is offered to you at no cost.

Thanks to generous grants from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, the Gryphon Fund, and other resources, we are offering this program tuition-free to those who qualify — and all books and supplies are included.

You will receive career placement assistance.

Upon the successful completion of this program, you will receive placement assistance from our Career Services team in partnership with the Connecticut Business & Industry Association and Capital Workforce Partners.

Academic boot camp schedule:

Tuesdays and Thursdays
6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Goodwin University Business and Manufacturing Center
One Pent Road

This is a limited-time opportunity.
Classes start July 10.
