How to Apply to the Nursing Associate Degree Program

Spring 2027 application information

You must complete the application before registering for the TEAS exam or submitting a score.

  • First-time and returning applicants must fill out and submit a new application.
  • Due to the change in eligibility requirements, all applicants must submit a new application.
  • Reactivation of a previous application is not allowed.

Important information

You must submit the application before registering for the exam. If you miss the deadline to apply, you cannot register for the exam or submit a TEAS score.

To register for your TEAS test
  1. Visit the ATI TEAS page
  2. Click the "Exam Registration" button
  3. In the "Remote Online" box click the "Register" button
  4. In the “TEAS Proctor - Program Type” dropdown select “Institution Remote Proctor - Nursing”
  5. For “state” select CT and under “institution” select “ACES/Professional Development and School Improvement”
  6. Scroll to see a list of available dates and click the “select” button next to a date to continue registration
  7. In your cart verify your registration details and select “Proceed to Checkout”
  8. You will then be prompted to log in to an existing ATI account or create a new account

If you need further assistance, you can contact ATI customer support at or 800-667-7531. They are available Monday-Friday between 7 a.m.-7 p.m. central (8 a.m.-8 p.m. eastern). They are not available on weekends.

All students are required to submit a TEAS score to Goodwin through ATI’s website. If you are awarded a transfer credit from ATI, you are still required to submit your score manually.

  • Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.7 from Goodwin University. GPAs from other colleges and universities will not count towards your application.
  • TEAS score of 58.7% or better
  • Prerequisite courses completed with a C+ or better
    • Anatomy and Physiology I
    • Anatomy and Physiology II
    • Microbiology

Prerequisites

Prerequisite courses must be already transferred, completed, or currently in progress with the expected completion of summer 2026.

  • All prerequisites must be completed prior to starting the ADN program
  • Courses must be completed with a C+ or higher.
  • Anatomy and Physiology expire after five years; Microbiology expires after ten years.
  • Prerequisites will not expire as long as you maintain an active student status with Goodwin University.

Updated official transcripts must be submitted to Goodwin University before the application deadline. Please confirm with your advisor that your transcripts are current. Students have a maximum of 6 attempts to apply to the ADN program.

A valid copy of your state of Connecticut LPN License must be submitted along with your completed application. Your license must remain active throughout the application process.

All applicants must transfer their TEAS score by September 11, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. When registering for your test, you will be prompted to select an institution to send your score to, please select “Goodwin U ADN.”

To have your score transferred automatically

You must purchase ATI Credit for $29.99 prior to your scheduled exam.

To submit your score manually

You may submit a score manually after your exam by going to the ATI online store, purchasing the $29.99 ATI Credit, and selecting “Goodwin U ADN” as the recipient.

What if I miss the deadline to apply?

If you miss the deadline to apply, you are not considered an applicant and any TEAS score submitted will not count. To confirm that your score has been transferred, please contact ATI at 800-667-7531.

How many times can I apply?

Students may only test once per application cycle. If multiple scores are submitted in the same cycle, we will use the first score submitted even if subsequent scores are higher. However, if you have scores submitted from previous application cycles, the highest score will always be used.

Preliminary/official TEAS scores transcript UPDATE

Effective June 19, 2025, immediately following your TEAS at ATI Exam, you will see a preliminary score. TEAS at ATI Exam scores remain in preliminary status for four business days (excluding weekends and major holidays) after your TEAS exam date. Once finalized, the preliminary watermark will be removed.

Note: Your transcript will not be sent to your institution until your score is finalized. Final transcripts are delivered electronically within two hours of being released. You’ll receive an email confirmation once your transcript has been sent.

Goodwin does not proctor the exam and will not have an access code for the exam. Please contact the school you registered with for the information needed. (ex: ACES) Students who are awarded a transfer credit must still confirm with ati that your score was transfered.

Name changes

Please make sure the Nursing department is aware of any changes to your name. We locate scores by last name, if your full name on this application is different from the name used to register with ATI, we will not be able to find your scores.
