Veterans Admissions
At Goodwin University, we recognize the dedication, discipline, and leadership that veteran students bring to the classroom. In recognition of your service, we’re committed to providing a goal-oriented, career-focused college experience designed with adult learners in mind.
Our programs are built to move you forward — quickly and efficiently. With streamlined pathways and minimal red tape, you can focus on what matters most: gaining the knowledge and skills you need to launch the next chapter of your career.
Goodwin University was named a Top 10 Military Friendly School® and a Military Spouse Friendly School® for 2025-2026.
Financial aid for veterans and their families
We believe access to education should be attainable — and affordable. Our dedicated financial aid team is here to help you explore every option available, so you can focus on achieving your academic and career goals with confidence.
Veteran education benefits
Goodwin University proudly participates in the Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program. When combined with Post-9/11 GI Bill® benefits, eligible veterans may have the full cost of their tuition covered — making it possible to earn a degree with little to no out-of-pocket expense.
In addition, Goodwin partners with the American Legion to offer a 33% tuition scholarship on non-selective admissions programs. This scholarship is available to Legion family members, families of Legionnaires, Auxiliary members, and Sons of the American Legion who claim Connecticut membership. Please note that this scholarship is limited to immediate family members.
In addition to veteran-specific benefits, students may qualify for a range of financial aid opportunities, including scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study programs.
GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). More information about education benefits offered by VA is available at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs website.

“As I was finishing the first semester of my program, I was told I would be deployed overseas again with the army to the Middle East. The University was nothing short of amazing — pausing me right there, telling me not to worry, and that I would have a guaranteed spot in the program the following semester as soon as I returned. I was going to be returning a few weeks late for the next semester and they helped me by building a customized education plan where I could start and finish on time while still meeting my other responsibilities.”
