A transformational and immersive program

A 6-week residential leadership program during summer sessions with 13-week college readiness during fall and spring.

Prepare for your future!

Through workshops on mastering pipeline courses, test preparation, vetting schools, and leadership, Goodwin Collegiate Prep supports and empowers underrepresented, at-risk youth and high school students as they transition to postsecondary education. Students must be at least 16 years old and will have the opportunity to participate in the program until they graduate.

Achieve academic readiness

Starting with a 13-week hybrid program held online and on the Goodwin University campus, students will grow as individuals through a series of workshops, bootcamps, events, and classes. Students will be prepared academically and socially for the rigors of academia, the challenges of leadership, and navigating challenging situations and decisions.

College counselling and readiness

  • SAT and ACT prep
  • Learning how to research colleges
  • Types and sources of financial aid
  • Trips to area colleges
  • Workshops on interviews, resumes, and personal branding

Program schedule

The 13-week hybrid program begins January 19 and ends April 16, 2022. Students are expected to meet two to three times a week, including weekends, for online or on-ground sessions.

Program is open enrollment and will continue to take new students until March 1, 2022.

Build life skills and independence

In this multi-year program, participants form lifelong bonds with peers, explore their roles as future leaders, and identify ways to positively impact their communities. Students are supported and challenged as they discover individual purposes and passions.

This program is offered to students at no cost.

This program is made possible by generous grant funding from the Connecticut Collegiate Awareness and Preparation Program (ConnCAP), Office of Higher Education.
