Post-master’s Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Certificate Curriculum
Goodwin’s post-master’s Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certificate provides a streamlined path for nurses who already hold a master’s degree and are ready to specialize in advanced practice. With focused coursework and a flexible online format, this certificate allows you to build on your existing nursing education while continuing to work full-time. Students can complete the FNP certificate in as few as 16 months part-time.
An advanced curriculum focused on family-centered primary care
The FNP certificate curriculum builds on your graduate nursing foundation and experience while sharpening the skills needed for advanced practice. Coursework covers advanced assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and primary care management, helping you strengthen clinical judgement and confidence in family-focused care.
As part of the program, you’ll participate in two in-person immersion experiences that will reinforce hands-on learning and the application of advanced practice concepts. The program concludes with a capstone experience that integrates advanced clinical knowledge and supports preparation for the national FNP board certification exam.
