Radiography Admission Requirements
The Radiography program accepts 12 students per start (spring and fall), offering small class sizes where you’ll receive more personalized attention and support from faculty. Because space is limited, meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. Candidates are reviewed based on the completion of prerequisites and other admissions criteria. If you’re still finishing courses, you may be conditionally accepted, pending submission of final transcripts. All requirements must be completed before enrolling in RAD 110: Patient Care and Ethics.
Steps to apply:
- Apply to Goodwin University. All Radiography applicants must first meet the University’s general admissions requirements and be accepted into Goodwin.
- Submit the Radiography program application.
- Provide a signed attestation. Applicants must confirm they are able to perform the tasks outlined in the Essential Functions of a Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer.
- Meet GPA requirements. A minimum GPA of 2.7 is required in your most recent college coursework (based on at least 12 completed credits).
- Complete general education requirements. Students must have completed — or be in the process of completingd — all general education courses (except for the humanities elective) and the non-major core courses (CHEM 101 and BIO 212) at the time of application.
- Complete prerequisite courses with a grade of “C” or better:
- CHEM 101: Chemistry
- Math 1XX: College Algebra
- Complete prerequisite courses with a grade of “C+” or better within the last 5 years:
- BIO 211: Anatomy & Physiology I
- BIO 212: Anatomy & Physiology II
- Personal essay. Students must complete a 500-word, in-person essay as part of the program’s point system. Essay topics are provided at the time of the appointment to complete the essay in person.
