Associate Degree in Radiography

Launch a rewarding career in medical imaging as a radiographer
Today’s healthcare depends on diagnostic imaging more than ever. X-ray technicians and radiologic technologists play a critical role in diagnosing disease, guiding treatment, and ensuring patient safety. In Goodwin University’s on-ground Radiography program, you’ll build foundational knowledge and hands-on skills that let you support patients in hospitals, clinics, and medical offices.
Gain hands-on clinical training
From your earliest semesters, you’ll work with x-ray and fluoroscopic equipment, learn digital imaging techniques, and practice radiation protection and quality control. As an x-ray tech student, you’ll assess patient condition, operate imaging equipment, and contribute in real clinical environments — so you graduate prepared.
Learn the technology behind modern medical imaging
Get hands on with today’s advanced imaging equipment while preparing for a high-demand career. When you graduate from our radiography program, you’ll be ready to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification exam in radiography. With that credential, radiologic technologists can step into entry-level roles in hospitals, outpatient centers, medical offices, and community health agencies.
Advance your education when you’re ready
Earn your associate degree with 80 credits of core, non-major, and major coursework in as few as 20-24 months part-time.* The program offers two class starts each year — fall and spring — so you can begin when it fits your schedule. Fall classes meet during the day, while spring classes are offered in the evenings and on weekends, making balancing work and life commitments easier. Each start welcomes up to 12 students, ensuring small-group learning and close faculty support. Later, you may continue toward a bachelor’s in Health Science to broaden your roles or move into leadership, education, or advanced clinical work.
* Additional time may be required for prerequisite courses.
