Campus Safety and Emergency Contact information for International Students
The Department of Campus Safety is here to keep you safe by responding to emergency situations on campus. The department operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year and officers patrol campus on a regular basis. If you see something, say something by contacting campus security or the police. You can find more information on the Campus Safety web page.

If uncertain as to which number to call, and/or for all other incidents please contact the: East Hartford Police Department at its non-emergency direct line at 860.528.4401. Police dispatchers will ask you questions regarding the incident including what occurred, where the incident occurred, and/or any appropriate description of individuals responsible.
If you have a health emergency, you or a trusted friend should contact your health insurance provider as soon as possible and as soon as you are safe. Please remember to carry your health insurance card with you everywhere you go while in the US. It is also smart to keep a copy with a trusted friend or family member back home. The IPO will also have a copy.
If there is any kind of natural disaster in the Hartford area, it would be a good idea to contact your home country consulate or embassy to let them know once you are safe. Please follow all emergency protocols locally to ensure your immediate safety before reaching out to home.
