Academic Program Development

Goodwin University uses a collaborative process for reviewing ideas for new programs. Program development, like all other college processes, requires approval from the appropriate college governance committees. The New Academic Program Development Committee, a subcommittee of the President’s Cabinet, meets weekly to consider program proposals. OIE supports the committee.

In addition to College approval, all academic programs are licensed and accredited by the State of Connecticut. When applicable, academic programs are also accredited by professional accrediting agencies. The entire New Program Development policy and procedure is available on the University’s policy webpage.
