Current Information and Updates
To date, we have taken every precaution in combatting COVID-19, and we continue to follow our community guidelines. We understand that employees and students are taking advantage of the vaccine, and we thank you for your patience, cooperation, and understanding as we continue to navigate the months to come.
In light of the CDC’s recent safety recommendations in handling the surge of the Delta variant, we have decided to re-instate the wearing of a mask or facial covering at Goodwin. Beginning Monday, August 9, 2021, all staff, faculty, and students are required to wear a mask in all areas of Goodwin University buildings, whether or not they have been vaccinated. This includes common areas, restrooms, hallways, classrooms, and office areas. Individuals who work alone in private offices and cubicles do not have to wear masks. We plan for these guidelines to be in effect into the Fall 2021 semester. Any changes in this plan will be shared with the community.
Goodwin employees who work in our magnet schools must still follow their guidelines.
Temperature taking and screening are not required, but those who wish to take these precautions can use the self-service kiosk located across from the bookstore in the main building at 211 Riverside Drive.
As this is a continually changing situation, we will continue to monitor the CDC’s recommendations related to mask-wearing and working on-site, and we will refine our policies as appropriate. For now, employees will continue to work on campus while re-instating the mask requirement. Together we have worked hard to stay safe, and together we will continue to ensure that our community remains as healthy as possible. We will communicate any updates as more information becomes available.
