Student Engagement Leadership Opportunities
There are a number of ways for students to be involved and enhance their Goodwin experience. Through these positions, we hope to offer students ways to grow personally and emotionally to become future leaders. Below are a few opportunities within the Office of Student Life that will allow you to invest in your development as a leader.

The Student Advisory Council is for Goodwin students who want to make a difference. You may be a great fit if you:
- Have ideas for improving the student experience
- Enjoy listening to others and helping their voices be heard
- Feel comfortable sharing feedback with university leaders
- Want to build leadership skills and strengthen your resumé
- Care about creating a stronger, more connected Goodwin community
- Have a 2.7 cumulative GPA
- Have been a student at Goodwin for one complete semester or more
The Student Advisory Council, or SAC, is a group of students who represent the student voice and work directly with University leadership. Members meet monthly and provide feedback, identify student needs, recommend meaningful improvements, and help develop initiatives that support the Goodwin community.
Joining SAC gives you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing skills that extend beyond the classroom. Members can:
- Represent the perspectives of Goodwin students
- Build professional communication and leadership skills
- Collaborate with students and university leaders
- Gain experience in advocacy, research, assessment, and event planning
- Strengthen their resumé
- Earn leadership credentials that recognize their involvement and achievements
SAC members help shape the student experience by:
- Gathering and communicating student feedback
- Recommending improvements to programs and campus life
- Planning events and student-centered initiatives
- Supporting student research and assessment
- Encouraging student engagement and participation
- Representing Goodwin students across the University
Through their involvement, SAC members may earn credentials in:
- Leadership Foundations
- Student Voice and Advocacy
- Event Planning and Coordination
- Student Research and Assessment
- Student Engagement, Recruitment, and University Representation
