We know that life can get expensive, and we want to help students save money wherever we can. That’s why we have partnered with local businesses to offer discounts to Goodwin University students, alumni, and employees. We encourage those in the Goodwin University community to support the businesses with these discounts. Click here to find out where you can access these discounts.

The Concierge Service, which operates out of the Goodwin University Bookstore, has several services available to students and staff. Services include:

• Bus Passes - 10-Ride & 31-Day
  Bus passes for local transit services are available in 10-ride & 31-day. No discounts are allowed on bus passes. Students may contact Financial Aid for assistance with purchasing bus passes.
• Discounted Movie Tickets
  Tickets for a primetime showing in Buckland Hills in Manchester are available for $8.00 each (excluding IMAX and 3D). Tickets to Bow Tie Cinemas at Blue Back Square in West Hartford are available for $7 each.
• Hartford Stage
  $20.00 student ticket is available for certain shows at Hartford Stage in downtown Hartford. Goodwin University students must present their student ID at the box office to purchase a discounted ticket.
• Margaritas Mexican Restaurant
  Goodwin University students and staff can take advantage of 50% off entrees with a valid Goodwin University ID every Wednesday at Margaritas Mexican Restaurant in East Hartford, CT.
• Postage Stamps
  Postage stamps are available for purchase in the Bookstore. No discounts are allowed on stamps.

Goodwin University Shuttle
The shuttle will follow a daily schedule that you can obtain at the Welcome Desk. Additionally, the Supermarket Shuttle will have scheduled stops several evenings a week to a number of local supermarkets in the Hartford area.

CT Transit
Fares on both CTfastrak Route 153 and CTtransit Route 56 are the same: $1.75 for a two-hour pass and $3.50 for an all-day pass. Tickets can be purchased upon boarding the bus, and exact fare is required since the fareboxes do not make change. Both CTfastrak and CTtransit will accept the same tickets, and transfers are free between both buses.

Uber/Lyft
Download one of these apps on your smartphone and a driver will pick you up at your location.

Americans like to go out to eat and there are several local options close to the College. There are also many options in the Glastonbury, Hartford, and West Hartford area.

Food is important in every culture and the staff at Goodwin know that cooking and eating your own home country specialties is important to you! It will make your time here feel more like home! Our on campus apartments have great kitchens and our international students are encouraged to cook. Our Goodwin Shuttle will have a Supermarket Shuttle which will have scheduled stops several evenings a week to a number of local supermarkets in the Hartford area.
