About the Hoffman Family Library

The Hoffman Family Library, located in Goodwin College's main building (One Riverside Drive) is an area designed to provide support for all student, faculty and curricular needs. The library provides leisure seating and research tables on each floor, group-study rooms, study carrels, book stacks, periodical and newspaper areas, and 43 computer work stations. Wi-Fi is available throughout. Other resources include a photocopier, printers, and mobile device charging stations.

To borrow materials, staff, faculty and students must provide a valid ID card. By creating a library account, patrons can view their circulation, hold materials, renew materials, create reading lists, and more. If the library does not have a desired title, Goodwin patrons can request an interlibrary loan.

The library's home page is the gateway to the library's resources and reference services. Staff and students can access the library's e-books and research databases remotely by using their Blackboard login. Print resources are accessible to anyone using the library's online catalog.

Learning Commons Area

The library has a collaborative learning space located on the second floor of the library. The space brings together library and technology in an environment that fosters informal, collaborative and creative work.
