Manufacturing is no longer dirty, dark, and dangerous. It’s an in-demand, stable, and viable career option. It’s time to get the facts! Check out these five myths about manufacturing careers.

Preparing today’s high school students for tomorrow’s careers

In our 15,000-square-foot manufacturing training center on the Goodwin University campus in East Hartford, students will be immersed into a world full of technology. Alongside some of Connecticut’s most credentialed faculty, students will learn on the same real-world machinery industry professionals use today. Upon completion of the program, students will have received sufficient training to secure entry-level employment in the field.

Industry training and rigorous academics

In addition to career-focused manufacturing training, students will experience a rigorous collegiate academic program where they will earn up to 37 transferable college credits. The skills can be taken directly into a variety of in-demand careers, and the credits can be transferred to other college degree programs — including Goodwin’s bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Management.
