Goodwin College has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2019 honor by The Hartford Courant<\/em>. The list is based solely on employee feedback<\/a> gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage<\/a>, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.<\/p>\n

\u201cTop Workplaces is more than just recognition,\u201d said Doug Claffey<\/a>, CEO of Energage. \u201cOur research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture<\/a> that supports employee engagement.\u201d<\/p>\n

Goodwin College currently has 334 full-time employees and 378 part-time employees, including adjunct faculty. Within its student population, Goodwin serves children from three years old up to grade 12 in its magnet school programs, through to adult learners in its certificate, associate, bachelor\u2019s, and master\u2019s programs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile our primary focus is always on the success of our students, we also devote a great deal of energy to making sure our employees are recognized and have an important voice in shaping the culture here,\u201d said Jean McGill, the Goodwin\u2019s Vice President for Human Resources. \u201cWe believe that the progress of the College over the past 20 years reflects the contributions of every employee. That\u2019s who we are, and it\u2019s critical to our mission of encouraging the highest academic, professional, and personal potential.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBecoming a Top Workplace isn\u2019t something organizations can buy,\u201d Claffey said. \u201cIt\u2019s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage.\u201d<\/p>\n
