The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) has awarded Goodwin College $26,329 as part of an announced $18.6 million in grants for 199 humanities projects across the country. Those grant funds go to projects that help preserve and tell the stories of essential chapters of American history, illuminate the history and culture of a region, and help humanities scholars.<\/p>\n
At Goodwin, the grant will be used to integrate humanities content into the College\u2019s career-focused programs in business, manufacturing, homeland security, and criminal justice.<\/p>\n
\u201cThose disciplines tend to be very cut and dried,\u201d Goodwin\u2019s Director of Humanities, Diane Sperger, said. \u201cBy marrying the humanities department with these other disciplines, we’re enriching the whole student and broadening horizons.”<\/p>\n
