This initiative recognizes individual who have contributed significantly to their respective areas in health care.<\/p>\n<p>In her role as chair of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodwin.edu\/majors\/nursing\/\">Nursing program<\/a> at Goodwin College, Jan has been an inspiration to hundreds of nurses. She has developed clear competencies to enhance the learning experiences for her students at Goodwin and is a passionate advocate in the area of geriatric education. She is a visionary with a strong capacity for leadership and planning, evident through her work with the National League for Nursing\u2019s Evaluation &amp; Testing Division, as well as her work with CLN on a statewide basis holding the positions of president-elect for the Board of Directors, chairperson of the Eldercare Workgroup, and active member of the Council of Deans &amp; Directors.<\/p>\n<p>In her work at Goodwin College, Jan guides students with care and concern. For those who apply to Goodwin\u2019s highly selective Nursing program but are not accepted, she is a first-rate counselor in helping them find other meaningful careers in health care and human services. Students who are fortunate enough to make it into the program find in Jan a role model for what she terms \u201cthe most noble profession.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations,
