Then an accounting career path may be right for your future! And you could earn an associate degree in accounting in less than two years!<\/p>\n<p>Enrolling in an associate degree program is an excellent first step towards a career in accounting. And earning your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodwin.edu\/majors\/accounting\/\">associate degree in accounting<\/a> is one of the fastest, most flexible routes you can take to a job in this in-demand field. In Goodwin&#8217; career-oriented associate degree program in Accounting, you will learn to manage bookkeeping and lower-level accounting operations in for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Through a comprehensive, 15 or 7&frac12;-week program, you will learn the fundamentals of accounting and bookkeeping.<\/p>\n<p>At Goodwin, you&#8217;ll find class times that fit into your schedule and cater to your needs. Goodwin offers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodwin.edu\/majors\/accounting\/as-degree-curriculum\">accounting classes<\/a> days, evenings, and weekends. Classes are available on-campus or in hybrid formats, with 15-week or accelerated 7&frac12;-week classes, with 6 class starts a year. So you can apply at any time and the classes are available when you need them!<\/p>\n<p>In Goodwin\u2019s accounting program, you will gain experience in entering transactional, adjusting, and closing entries into an accounting system; investigating trial balance discrepancies; managing payroll; and preparing financial reports. You will work with general ledgers, journals, and financial statements. You will enhance your skills in inventory consulting, managerial accounting, and learn the ins-and-outs of the industry\u2019s standard software systems.<\/p>\n<p>Upon completion of the associate degree in Accounting program, you will be prepared to sit for the professional certification in bookkeeping, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel. And an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodwin.edu\/majors\/accounting\/as-degree-program-outcomes\">AS Accounting Program<\/a> will prepare you for a variety of entry-level jobs within the financial field. No matter what position you choose, there will be plenty of room to grow.
