Today\u2019s world is more globally connected than ever. And with the rapid spread of travel and information, comes the potential for public health risks.<\/p>\n

No one likes to think about public health emergencies like SARS and the Zika virus, but committed, trained professionals are needed to step up, respond, and protect our communities from these threats to our collective safety. That\u2019s where public health professionals, trained to respond to public health emergencies, infectious disease outbreaks, and chronic disease epidemics like diabetes and obesity, come in.<\/p>\n

Goodwin\u2019s career-focused Public Health courses<\/a>, taught by industry content experts, provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to stand out in this critically important field.<\/p>\n

Public health education focuses on the study of biostatistics, epidemiology, public health policy and administration, global health. Students will also learn local, state, federal and global public health systems.<\/p>\n

When pursuing a public health education, students can expect to learn how to respond to public health emergencies, infectious disease outbreaks, and chronic disease epidemics like diabetes and obesity. You will deliver health interventions, collect and analyze data, provide counseling and support, and help connect individuals to organizations that improve health.<\/p>\n
