Our goal is not only to produce respiratory therapy graduates, but very strong graduates to work at places like Hartford Hospital. Program Director Michael Murphy emphasizes the importance of early and ongoing simulation-based learning. \u201cWe use simulation continuously in our classroom, almost from the first semester,\u201d Murphy explains. \u201cBefore our students ever leave the classroom to go to clinical, we make sure that they\u2019re checked off on all their skills through the use of simulation.\u201d<\/p>\n
