MOVE Student

In addition to the above opportunities, students who formally apply for and are accepted into MOVE enjoy the following benefits:

Financial assistance
Through an institutional grant, students in Year 1 of the program need only apply for a loan totaling $3,500. Books and tuition are otherwise covered. For Year 2, a loan totaling only $4,500 is required.

Time
Students are allowed 3 years to complete a 2-year associate’s degree program.

Work Study
MOVE students are allowed to participate in a work study program. Students may work between 10 and 15 hours each week at a rate of $10.00 per hour.

Recreation
MOVE maintains its own intramural basketball team for the winter season, access to Pratt & Whitney Air Craft Club facilities, CT River Council outdoor activities, Hartford Colonials tailgate opportunities, visits to museums as planned, Basketball Hall of Fame and Flag Football.
