Goodwin's Social Work Program: Help Improve Lives
You are a caregiver: you draw your energy from inspiring people to live their best possible lives. There is a growing need for Social Work practitioners who are committed to inspiring others to improve their lives. Goodwin College has designed an educational program that leads to a fulfilling career helping others recognize their true strengths.
A bachelor’s degree in Social Work allows you to create a positive impact on individuals and society. The program uses social theories to develop your understanding of human dynamics and to provide you with the skills to become a generalist social work practitioner.
Generalist practice — a combination of research, policy advocacy, and direct social work — prepares you for beginning level employment, usually under the direction of supervisor with a master’s degree in social work (MSW). You may work in settings such as mental health facilities, schools, hospitals, social services agencies, group homes, nursing homes, drug treatment centers, or community health clinics.
Your degree could lead you to a meaningful career as a case manager, community organizer, habilitation specialist, program manager/coordinator, mental health worker, or a number of other positions in social work. The program also prepares you for graduate-level education in an accredited MSW program.
Create a rewarding future for yourself and become an inspiration to others with your bachelor’s degree in Social Work.
