Goodwin College Offers Community Half Moon Replica Ship and Public Tours
|Directions|
Goodwin College is welcoming the community to its River Campus to tour the Half Moon. The Half Moon, a full-scale, operating replica of the Dutch ship of exploration that Henry Hudson sailed in 1609, is a traveling museum conducting hands-on history. Half Moon enriches the Connecticut River Academy's programs by bringing students on a five day Voyage of Discovery through the Long Island Sound and up the Connecticut River before docking at campus.
The Goodwin College River Campus is located at One Riverside Drive in East Hartford, CT. Parking and admission onto the tall ship and encampment is free. Children are welcome. Attendance for the ship's tours is first come fist served. Vendors will be available for lunch and snacks. To learn more about the Half Moon, visit www.halfmoonreplica.org.
