Faculty may access information regarding unscheduled school closings due to inclement weather and unforeseen circumstances by calling 860-528-4111 or by checking the Goodwin College website (http://www.goodwin.edu).
This information will also be announced on the following stations no later than 7:00 a.m. for day classes and 3:00 p.m. for evening classes.

If all day classes are canceled, day faculty members do not have to report to work. If evening classes are not canceled, all faculty members who are scheduled for evening instruction are expected to conduct their classes as scheduled. If the College is designated as "closed," all faculty members do not have to report to work. However, faculty members are expected to complete all required coursework within the scheduled semester even when classes are canceled due to severe weather. To ensure that this happens, individual faculty members may opt to conduct class online or hold a scheduled make-up session.
Extreme weather conditions may require Goodwin College to close either before the workday begins or during the course of the day. Any changes to the severe weather notification process will be communicated to all employees as needed.
