How do I access Blackboard?
- To access Blackboard, go to http://bb.goodwin.edu
- Enter your Username and Password.
Username: 9 Character Sonisweb ID (If you have letters in your ID use Upper Case)
Password: 9 Character Sonisweb ID (If you have letters in your ID use Upper Case) - Click the "Login" button.

Where are all my courses?
Once you have logged on to Blackboard, you will see the courses you are enrolled in on the right hand side. Contact Distance Education support if the term has already begun and your course(s) are still not available. For each course, the title of recent announcements (created by the instructor) will be listed.
To access the details of a course, click on the course title. This will take you to the course entry page. The course entry page normally shows you the announcements created by your instructor. It is imperative that your, the student, check Blackboard multiple times per week for new announcements.
How do I Change My Password
Login into the Blackboard system and go to “Personal Information” within the left hand menu to change their password.
The default for your Blackboard password is set to your student ID number. In order to change your password please follow the steps below:
- Log in to Blackboard.
- Click Personal Information under Tools.
- Click on Change Password.
- Under section 1 enter your new password and reenter to verify new password.
- Click Submit
