Computer Literacy (CAP 110) Credit by Exam (CBE) InformationIn order to successfully test out of the CAP 110 course, students need to have advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel 2007 or 2010 as well as knowledge on computer components, terminology and maintenance. The registration process to take the CAP 110 Credit by Exam (CBE) is quick and easy but there is some important information you need to know first. You must register to take the exam no later than the scheduled exam date. The exam will only be offered once a semester on a Saturday from 9 am to 12 pm. In order to register for the CAP 110 CBE you must follow the steps below:
On the day of your test, it is extremely important to bring with you, a picture id (such as a driver's license, passport or state ID card) and your receipt of payment. If you do not have this documentation with you, for whatever reason, on the day of the exam you will not be allowed to enter the exam and must register again for a future exam date. In order to receive three credits for CAP 110 you must pass the CBE with an 73% or better. If you receive a grade of 72% or lower, you must register and successfully complete the CAP 110 course.
