Goodwin College is planning a Community Garden!
The garden will be available to our students, faculty and staff, and neighbors. Each member will be assigned their own 8’ x 10’ plot to care for. There will also be a few communal plots that will grow food for the food pantry.
The college will provide access to gardening tools on-site. There will be a membership contribution of $10 to support the upkeep of the garden and tool replacement.
The garden will be located on Goodwin property near Main Street, East Hartford.
In order to plan the size and configuration of the garden, which we are working to open in March 2012, we need to see how many have serious interest in taking a plot.
