"I serve on the Board of Trustees for Goodwin College because I believe in its mission to provide an education for the non-traditional student. Being a product of a non-traditional program myself, Goodwin enables those who share in the belief, "Where there is a will, there is a way", to attain an education in order to succeed in their goals. As the Administrator of Riverside Health & Rehabilitation Center, I also support the nursing program that has responded to the ever increasing need for professional nurses in this country of aging baby boomers."

Biography

Karen H. Chadderton works as the Administrator of Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center in East Hartford, where she have been employed for almost 27 years. She is a certified Long Term Care Administrator and a licensed Nursing Home Administrator, having earned her RN designation at St. Francis School of Nursing before continuing her education at Charter Oak State College and the University of Connecticut. Karen has served with many community and professional boards and organizations, including the Town of Enfield Housing Board of Appeals, the College of Health Care Administrators, the East Hartford VNA Restricted Fund Advisory Board, the Capital Workforce Partners Board, and the Connecticut Association of Healthcare Facilities. She is also a past president and current board member of the East Hartford Chamber of Commerce.
