Assessment

OIE manages a planning and evaluation process that advances student learning outcomes and fulfills the College mission. The office supports strategic, curriculum, academic and administrative department planning as well as assessment processes including the College’s program review process.

College Committee on Assessment
The Committee’s mission is to assist in College planning; support the assessment of student learning outcomes; ensure the quality of academic programs and College services; and oversee both the formal and annual review processes. The Committee also oversees the assessment of the College’s governing committees and reports on assessment initiatives. OIE stores all committee documents online in a password-protected archive.

Academic and Administrative Program Review
The College Committee on Assessment oversees a program review process in which all academic programs and college services complete a self-study every five years. This effort is led by Dr. Henriette Pranger, Director of Educational Assessment. The College uses this process, along with an annual program review process, to guide curricular and process improvements and to assess student learning outcomes.
