PBH 310 - Occupational Health in the United States

3 credits (PREREQUISITE: PBH 200)

Students will explore occupational health and safety issues including an introduction to occupational health issues in special populations such as the aging workforce.  Students will compare and contrast occupational safety and health in the United States and globally including the use of laws and regulations to keep workers safe. Landmark occupational health and safety case studies will be examined including the evolution of major Occupational Health organizations such as OSHA and NIOSH. (F, Su)
