FS 310 - Family Policy
3 credits (PREREQUISITES: FS 102 and PSY 212)
This course will cover an analysis of government and community programs and various policies which impact the lives of families. Topics will include child welfare, education, poverty, youth with disabilities, child mental health, adolescent substance abuse, juvenile justice policies and programs, and other information relevant to the health, education, and welfare of families. Students will examine the process of policy development and evaluate the effectiveness of current policies which address family health care needs.
