BMM 475 - Product Development Management

3 credits (PREREQUISITE: NONE)

Students are introduced to concepts of material structure, property and testing methods as they relate to material selection and processing decisions. Participants learn the strategies and processes to respond to customer needs for product creation and modification. Quality assurance aspects of the development process are presented. Methods to identify opportunities for improvement are stressed. Dynamic input from consumers via sales and marketing is integrated in the process. The design and manufacturing of the product incorporates the quality parameters which will deliver the product that will meet the consumer’s expectations. (F, Sp, Su)
