HSC 100 - CPR for the Healthcare Professional

1 credit (PREREQUISITE: PHB 120)

The BLS Healthcare Provider Course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages including doing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen. Students also learn how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED). Finally, students will learn how to provide relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). This course is intended for participants who provide healthcare to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital. This course is appropriate for certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals. (F, Sp, Su)
