ENG 265 - Caribbean Literature and Culture

3 credits (PREREQUISITE: ENG 201, ENG 250, and ENG 255)

This course will explore the literature of the Caribbean from the nineteenth century to contemporary times. The course will focus on fiction and poetry of writers of the Diaspora and incorporate the history, politics, and culture that have helped shape the literature of the region. Themes addressed are: colonialism, language, migration/immigration, identity, and spirituality. CU MC (Sp)
