PSY 365 - Advanced Child Development

3 credits (PREREQUISITE: PSY 115 OR PSY 212)

This course is designed to help students gain a complex understanding of child growth and development for children beginning with conception and continuing through early adolescence. Students will explore how current practice has arrived at this level of understanding and how research in child development can be applied in the various settings in which children develop. Students will have opportunities to become familiar with many topics including but not limited to: prenatal development, education theory and its link to child development, moral development, and working with families to develop school and community partnerships.
