ENV 120 - Environmental Law and Regulations

3 credits (PREREQUISITE: NONE)

This course provides the background and skills development needed to understand and apply environmental law and regulations. Topics include: vocabulary of environmental regulation; the framework of federal, tribal and local environmental laws; basic legal/administrative processes; science and techniques for setting environmental standards; reporting, permitting and enforcement; stakeholder and public involvement in the regulatory process; and negotiation and conflict resolution methods.
