NUR 300 - Foundations of Professional Nursing

3 credits (PREREQUISITE: Current unencumbered RN license in the state where the student practices nursing; acceptance into the RN-BSN Program)

This initial Nursing course introduces and orients the BSN student to the Nursing Theoretical Framework at Goodwin College, Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) to baccalaureate nursing education, and the role of the nurse as a Health Promoter, Care Provider, and a member of a profession. The role and expectations of the baccalaureate-prepared Registered Nurse are explored and integrated into personal professional practice. Students are required to purchase Taskstream for the Program.
