HSC 240 - Introduction to Alternative and Complementary Medicine

3 credits (PREREQUISITE: NONE)

This course will examine the theory, philosophy and applications of complementary and alternative medicine within today's healthcare system. Students will learn about the many alternatives to traditional Western or allopathic medicine, and how these various models, systems and therapies impact on the delivery of healthcare in the United States. Students will become aware of the vast array of resources available and the type of training involved in license/certification. (F, Sp, Su)
