HSC 110 - Introduction to Public Health

This course focuses on individual, community and institutional healthcare needs and issues from both the bio-medical and socio-cultural points of view. The course explores issues regarding healthcare insurance, the uninsured and underserved, managed care and changes in healthcare marketplace, and provides an overview of major diseases, including epidemics, chronic and acute illness.
