BIO 101 - Concepts in Human Biology

3 credits (PREREQUISITE: NONE)

This 45- hour course provides an overview of the organ systems of the human body and basic concepts of cell biology and structure, including the study of anatomical and physiological interrelationships; organization of cells, tissues and body systems; and structure and function of muscular, skeletal, endocrine, lymphatic, digestive, respiratory, urinary, nervous and reproductive systems. The course covers examples of diseases of each body system as well as the relationship of nutrition and metabolism to the digestive system. This course does not fulfill the requirements for the Nursing, Occupational Therapy, and Respiratory Care programs. SCI (F, Sp, Su)
