MATH 130 - Mathematics for Science and Technology

3 credits (PREREQUISITE: PLACEMENT EVALUATION SCORE OR COMPLETION OF MATH 099 WITH "C" OR BETTER.)

This course provides the underlying mathematical concepts and processes applied in the fields of science and the technologies. Topics include scientific notation, the U.S. and metric systems of measurement, solving equations and graphing functions, perimeters, areas, volumes, the Pythagorean Theorem, logarithms, and right triangle trigonometry.
