Fiscal Year 2011 saw continued growth to the Goodwin College Foundation, the College's fundraising arm, which grew to nearly $3.5 million this year. The Foundation serves as the essential backbone of the College and will ensure the College's long-term sustainability and vitality.
Fundraising is a vital source of Foundation growth. These efforts continue to grow, bolstered by support from dedicated board members, friends, employees, and alumni. In addition, we are fortunate to have business relationships that have proven to be true partnerships. Donor support resulted in over $600,000 in current and future funding for the College and Foundation from approximately 400 donors — an increase of nearly 25% over 2010.
The emphasis placed on endowment growth and that of fundraising as a whole comes to fruition with an established Foundation Board of Directors. Fifteen prominent and committed members now comprise this leadership body and will ensure new milestones continue to be reached, in partnership with our generous donors.
